Board Game Arena (BGA) is a free online platform hosting hundreds of board and card games, playable directly in the browser — no download, no install required.
Board Game Arena is the official online play client for Altered. Play against other players directly in your browser. Build your decks with the Altered-DB deckbuilder — they will be automatically available on Board Game Arena.
Go to boardgamearena.com and create a free account, or log in if you already have one. A free account is enough to play Altered.
Search for "Altered" in the BGA game library, or use the direct link below. Click Play to access the game lobby.
In the Altered lobby on BGA, you can link your Altered.re account. This lets BGA recognise your collection and use your own decks. Without linking, you can still play using the preset demo decks.
Create a new table (or join an open one) and choose your deck. You can play against friends or wait for an opponent in the public lobby.
The Equinox companion app and official Altered servers were shut down in May 2026. The BGA version is independently hosted on the BGA platform and remains fully playable.
