It seems that the Roots of Corruption demo starter decks have quietly been revealed. They were no doubt going to be used for the demo deck tournament for the Roots pre-release, but we get to see them all now instead. Hopefully we’ll be able to play them all soon on BGA and be able to test out the new Roots cards! Links to all the decks are below. The Phoenix Egg is Cracking …

Rumours of Altered TCGs demise may be a little premature. The Altered community is so awesome and has gathered together to try and continue the project as a community based venture as the fans of the Netrunner LCG did in the past. The people behind this community led project are currently organising and trying to establish what can and can’t be done with Equinox. This will take a little time, but the goal is to try and have Altered continue as a fan based project with Equinox’s blessing. One of the early goals will be to try to continue BGA as the online tool for the game, but there are many decisions that need to be made for this to go forwards. We at the Altered TCG blog with the new Altered Re:Union team the best in their endeavour. If.. The post The Phoenix Egg is Cracking … appeared first on .
Why I loved Altered TCG
Altered Blog March 23, 2026
Altered Blog
I was going to write about Altered’s game mechanics last week, but the announcement kind of put a bit of a damper on things. Instead I’m going to combine that article into a more widespread article about all the reasons that I love Altered TCG. I’m going to break it down into sections, so let me start with game mechanics. Game Mechanics After I gave up playing Magic the Gathering in about 2016, I decided that I wasn’t going to get into another TCG. Most of the games around had anime artwork (that I’m not a massive fan of) and their game mechanics were really derivative. I think there were so many ‘near-Magic’ clones around, all wanting you to beat your opponent to death. I’d been there and done that for the best part of 22 years with Magic and.. The Print-on-Demand service is seeing significant changes, adding two guaranteed print dates per season and retiring the foiler system fully, according to an update post in the Roots of Corruption Gamefound campaign. The individual backers drive broke 380,000 euros (about $437,000) reaching two more stretch goals with three days remaining. Print-on-Demand evolution Beginning this month, a Print-on-Demand printing slot can be triggered in the following ways: Volume: A total of 2,000 packs are ordered Manually set date (guaranteed to happen at least twice per season) The goal is to provide at least two printing slots each season regardless of order volume, likely around the end of the first and third months of each set’s four-month life cycle. Those dates might shift somewhat if three or more slots are triggered in the same cycle, but at least two printing waves are..
