Altered Re:Union incorporated as a nonprofit association under French loi 1901 as a major step toward supporting the game going forward as Equinox winds down operations. Building a nonprofit association allows the team to act as a recognized legal entity and enter into agreements, as well as hold and manage assets. There’s still a bunch of activity going on in Altered on Board Game Arena this month. So here’s a quick run down on all the tournaments that are being run this month that you can get yourself involved in on BGA.

Discussions with Equinox and their recent data sharing (especially regarding uniques) now allow us to approach the question of formats with the community more confidently.

How voting works Voting is organized per Hero For each Hero, you must rank submitted decks via Google Forms (Available when voting opens on May 9th, 2026)

Altered is going through a transitional period, what with the ending of the Offical Equinox support for the game on 20th May and community led proposals in the offing. As a result of these changes, not even the Altered TCG Blog is immune. Some of the staff here are moving to help the new community site get up to speed and as a result the bulk of the articles that were on here will now be on the new Altered Re:Union site in the future. The owners of the site have therefore taken the decision to close this site down and bring this chapter in Altered TCG’s journey to an end. As a result, the articles here will remain up and available should anyone wish to consult them until August 2026. After that time, this site will close down. So.. Before the shutdown of the official services, the community is providing tools to save your card collection and your decks.

The Altered Re:Unon project by the community to keep the game going is moving onwards. The new Altered Re:Union logo was voted on this week and that is the header image for this post. The committee has now had a couple of meetings with Equinox and there has been a lot of agreement on some of the way forwards for the game. On their discord they have put out a google docs statement on the productive elements that came from that meeting as well as their ideas for the future of the game. Feel free to join the Re:Union project if you want to have your voice heard! The official Altered website, managed by Equinox, will shut down its services on May 20, 2026, due to the inability to continue funding the game.
