New version of Altered-DB is here !

Hello everyone,

Welcome to this new version of Altered-DB.

Since the beginning, the goal of the website has always been the same: to provide a complete and practical tool for the Altered TCG community. Card search and filters, deck builder, collection management, wishlist, deck sharing… Altered-DB has evolved over time thanks to your support, feedback, and passion for the game.

As you know, Altered officially ended its operations on May 20, 2026. However, the game itself continues to live on thanks to its community. Many players and volunteers have stepped up to help keep Altered alive, both physically and on Board Game Arena, especially thanks to the work of Re:Union, which is actively working to secure the future of the game and establish a sustainable structure for its continuity.

Over the past few months, I have dedicated a lot of time to AlteredCore.org, a project aimed at promoting essential community services around Altered. At the same time, I have also been working on various tools and projects related to the Altered community ecosystem.

All of this led me to evolve the tools I develop into something more modern, more flexible, and above all easier to maintain and improve over the long term.

To be transparent: maintaining several websites and tools in parallel requires a huge amount of time and energy. Between development, updates, bug fixes, hosting, and maintenance, it quickly becomes difficult to manage alone.

I therefore decided to evolve Altered-DB into this new version in order to continue maintaining the website in a more sustainable way, while still providing essential tools for the community.

Thanks to the work of Sparky and Re:Union, a new unified account system has been introduced through Altered.re. This allows you to use one single account across the different community services.

If you used the previous version of Altered-DB, don’t worry: your data has not been lost.

Your decks and collection can be migrated to this new version of the website using the migration tool available here:

The migration process has been designed to be simple and allow you to recover your data without starting over from scratch.

The community (Don Toxicity and Re:Union) has worked tirelessly to keep the game playable on Board Game Arena. Create your decks on Altered-DB and play them directly on BGA!

This new version of Altered-DB would not have been possible without several important people and initiatives within the community.

A huge thank you to Toxicity for the tremendous work on the card search, collection, and deck APIs, which today form an essential foundation for many community tools around Altered.

A big thank you as well to Re:Union for the tremendous work being done to ensure a future for the game after the shutdown of official services, as well as for all the efforts made to allow Altered to continue to live on.

Before ending this news, I simply want to say a huge thank you to all Altered-DB users for supporting the project since the beginning. Whether you use the website daily, report bugs, suggest ideas, share decks, help other players, or simply enjoy the available tools — your support has helped Altered-DB grow and continue to exist over time. This project would never have been the same without its community ❤️

I also want to give special thanks to everyone who supported the project through donations or helped improve the website with feedback, ideas, testing, bug reports, and valuable help. Your help genuinely made a difference and contributed to making Altered-DB better for everyone.

Maintaining this website comes with hosting and infrastructure costs to keep everything running smoothly. A goal of €30 per month helps cover these essential expenses and ensures the performance, security, and availability of the server.

This project is developed voluntarily in my free time, driven by passion for Altered TCG. Reaching this goal directly contributes to the stability and long-term sustainability of the website, helping ensure that the card database and deck-building tools remain accessible to everyone.
